Apex Systems has an immediate need for a Sr. ServiceNow Consultant to work for a client of ours based in the Charlottesville, VA area for a 3-6 month contract to hire opportunity. Length: 3-6 Month Contract to Hire

● The client is looking specifically for a person who has 3-5 years ServiceNow experience as an admin or developer and preferably some IT service management experience pre ServiceNow like with Remedy or BMC with CMDB experience and/or integration and automation experience.
● Need to have excellent spoken communication skills.
● The Software Administrator/Architect is responsible for ensuring that the enterprise applications are well designed, properly developed, and appropriately supported, and for keeping abreast of the current configuration of all enterprise wide systems.
● The Software Architect, working with their manager or a Sr. Software Architect, is responsible for providing technical direction to the company to ensure the highest business value of the development efforts, and to recommend infrastructure and methodology changes to ensure the continuing viability and contribution of our enterprise applications and interfaces to legacy systems.
● The Software Administrator/Architect is also responsible for working with other teams to assist in implementing tactical plans to ensure that the applications are meeting or will meet strategic business objectives, and working with business analysts to implement proper technical solutions to enhance the business value of operations.
● The Software Architect is also responsible for educating and mentoring development staff in new technology tools and methodologies.

● Coordinate general ServiceNow Administration
● Configure ServiceNow processes such as Incident, Request, Change Problem, Asset Management
● Roll out additional ServiceNow modules as required
● Oversee all Data Integration
● Assist with UI Strategy
● Maintain the Development Instance
● Use approved change management procedures to manage system upgrades to the Production instance
● Plan and oversee or lead specific projects
● Work with all IT service owners and service delivery groups and their leaders
● Create and monitor metrics
● Create reports and reporting schedules

Skills and Experience
● Experience with Service Desk and/or Help Desk
● Project management skills
● Strong customer service orientation
● Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
● Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
● Ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language
● Skilled at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment

● Live near and/or be able to commute to Charlottesville, Virginia
● Scripting experience
● Glide experience
● System Administration experience
● Asset and/or Configuration Management experience
● Adept at writing technical documentation and procedure manuals
